I am a licensed psychologist in the state of California. I earned my Masters (M.A.) and Doctorate (Psy.D.) in Clinical Psychology from the Wright Institute in Berkeley, California. Prior to graduate school, I completed my baccalaureate degree from Dominican University of California in psychology.
In the course of my training and experience I have worked successfully with a large number of different types of people. My practice includes a broad range of issues and I treat adults of all ages and adolescents in individual, marital and family therapy.
I also have additional training working with the populations listed below:
- Law Enforcement and Safety Personnel
I have personal and professional experience working with law enforcement/safety personnel. I have also conducted two research studies regarding law enforcement officers and their spouse/significant others and the impact law enforcement work have on these relationships. I presented my results at two psychology professional conferences: WPA2007
- Veterans
I have specialized experience in the treatment of veterans with Posttraumatic Stress Disorder and Substance Abuse while working at the Veteran�s Affairs Outpatient Mental Health Clinic.
- Adolescent and Young Adult Assessment
I worked three years at two different placements providing both assessment and therapy services to adolescents in nonpublic school settings. The assessments I wrote were for Individualized Education Plans (IEP) and treatment recommendations.
- Substance Abuse
I have two years of training in the treatment and assessment of drug and alcohol dependence. The experience was in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
